That old black velvet

Velvet if you have ever sewn with it, can be a bit of a challenge. Usually I end up swearing a great deal when I sew with it, as it moves when your sewing it. Lucky for me, there wasn't much swearing involved. I'm really happy with the result.


This is a gift for a friend. Another item that I've had a picture in my head of for a long time.


Made from a vintage velvet skirt, vintage ribbon, vintage lace and modern polka dot cotton.
