Another glorious sunrise

And there was sewing

Made on the weekend as a birthday present for a young girl

The bird and flower embroidery pattern came from the book Made in France.

I used a pretty sheet for lining.

It has been so long since I had made a zippered pouch that I sewed in the zip incorrectly and had to unpick and resew the entire thing.
I hope the recipient liked it.

No this hasn't turned into a photography blog. I am still sewing, just haven't taken any sewing pictures for a bit. Speaking of photography blogs have you been to visit Snappy Friends, or A Certain Slant of Light ?

I have a mild obsession with clouds. I love their shape, form, and the way the light dances off and around them. As I wake up early in the mornings sunrise or just after is a perfect time for me to go outside with the camera.
Quite frequently I find myself wishing I had a large ladder so that I could climb on my roof to get better shots. These were taken before 7am this morning.

I am often up early lately, and most mornings I get the opportunity to see the sun rise. Each time I watch in awe, as the clouds and the sun interact, creating an amazing changing landscape in the sky. It's always beautiful.
